Tips for buying a dog or puppy in Uganda

Never forget to ask for a vaccination card.

Buy puppies after weaning at 3 months and above.

Pay on or after delivery.

Carefully check the puppy for abnormalities, e.g., lameness, blindness, etc.

Buy from trustworthy dog breeders to avoid inbred puppies.

Ask for the parents of the puppy you want to buy and proof, e.g., videos or pictures of mother and father mating, puppies breastfeeding, etc.

Do not abruptly change the diet of the puppy after buying it.
