
Veterinary practice is broadly categorized into two:
1: Small animal practice refers to veterinary care given to pets (dogs and cats). 90% of small animal practice is concentrated in Kampala and its suburbs.
2: Large animal practice refers to veterinary care given to food animals (cattle, goats, sheep, etc.). Eighty percent of large animal practice is concentrated in rural areas.
